Waste Management Challenges in Modern Society Marine pollution, plastic waste, dairy farming residues, and medical waste are just some of the pressing issues we face today. As a solution to these challenges, we propose the organic waste processing system, PHANTOM.
Using subcritical water technology, PHANTOM accelerates hydrolysis to process up to 3 tons of waste in approximately 30 minutes per cycle, depending on operator proficiency. It comes in four capacities: 3㎥, 2㎥, 1㎥, and 0.5㎥. For general household waste, processing takes about 15 minutes, with an additional time requirement for loading and unloading. Skilled operators can complete the entire process in about 30 minutes.
Example: For the 3-ton (3㎥) model, household waste processing takes around 15 minutes, plus an average loading and unloading time of 15 minutes, depending on the operator's skill level. This allows for two cycles per hour, processing up to 6 tons.
Traditional organic waste processing often causes contamination. However, PHANTOM minimizes environmental impact, emitting only CO₂ during boiler heating. Waste is processed in a sealed chamber utilizing "water and heat," and even medical waste is sterilized before disposal. This innovation resolves previous issues like air pollution and lengthy processing times.
Despite its advanced functionality, PHANTOM requires no additional fuel supply, making operational costs predictable and manageable. Maintenance is straightforward, involving periodic boiler inspections and gasket replacement approximately every 10 years. Compared to large-scale waste processing furnaces, PHANTOM offers significantly better cost efficiency as an organic waste processing solution.
